What Cancer Cannot Do...

What Cancer Cannot Do!
Cancer is so limited ...

It cannot cripple love,
It cannot shatter hope,
It cannot corrode faith,
It cannot eat away at peace,
It cannot destroy confidence,
It cannot kill friendship,
It cannot shut out memories,
It cannot invade the soul,
it cannot reduce eternal life,
It cannot quench the spirit,
It cannot lessen the power of the Resurrection.

Rainbow Did You Know!

Did you know that the rainbow is merely a separation of the colors of light?

Did you know that a rainbow doesn't necessarily need rain to be seen--just clouds?

Do you know why the rainbow is universally recognized as a symbol of good fortune?

The Bible tells us that God put the rainbow in the sky in order to declare His faithfulness towards us. God promised that He would never again judge the world with a flood, and the rainbow is His own personal reminder note (Genesis 9:12-16)!

However, people make the mistake of believing that the rainbow means that God will never judge the world again. That's just not true. Jesus said, "Every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof on the Day of Judgment. For by your words, you shall be justified, and, by your words, you shall be condemned" (Matthew 12:36-37).

How are your words? Have you ever lied (see Proverbs 12:22)? Insulted someone (Matthew 5:21-26)? Used God's name in vain (Exodus 20:7)? Expressed lust (Matthew 5:27-30)? If you have, then God sees you as a lying, murdering, blasphemous adulterer-at-heart! That's a scary thought--far from the comfort of a rainbow!

Yet the rainbow is also a reminder to us of what God says about Himself in Ezekiel 33:11:

"Say to them, 'As I live!' declares the Lord GOD, 'I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live! Turn back, turn back from your evil ways! Why then will you die, O house of Israel?'"

The Bible says that God commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness. If we repent, God has provided the Way for us to be forgiven, by sending His Son Jesus to die for our sins. When Jesus rose again three days later, He provided for us victory over all of our sins, past, present, and future, and over death, which is the result of sin (James 1:13-15), and over Hell, which is the punishment for sin (see Revelation 21:8).

Sin may have its pleasures, but they are only for a season. Hell is forever, and that is not a price that God wants anybody to pay--which is why He paid it Himself. Will you repent today?
